Saipal Base Camp Trek Overview

The Saipal Base Camp Trek offers a remarkable journey into the heart of Western Nepal, culminating at the foot of Mt. Saipal, the region's second-highest peak at 7,031 meters. This trek is perfect for adventurers seeking an off-the-beaten-path experience amidst breathtaking landscapes, serene villages, and vibrant local culture. The trail winds through pristine valleys and lush vegetation, making it an ideal choice for those who wish to explore the Himalayas without the challenges of high mountain passes.

Starting from Simikot, trekkers will traverse diverse terrains, including treeless landscapes and high-altitude valleys, all while immersing themselves in the rich cultural heritage of the Humla region. As we journey through remote villages such as Dharapuri, Kermi, and Yalbang, you’ll witness the daily rhythms of local life. Ascending to the Karang Khola valley via Sakyup La (4,214 m), you'll experience the untouched beauty of this wild region. After crossing Sakya La (4,709 m), the trek leads into the enchanting Rani Kharka valley, where you’ll spend time exploring before heading to the base camp.
